So as you can see we have been extremely lazy with the blog but we both have been busy. i have been making beats and working on my upcoming mix tape titled I Love Japan and speaking of CDs my long long over due cd of the week is here! its Linkin Park's Reanimation. this is possibly one of the most creative CDs ever. they took their entire first album and remixed it with features on ever song dividing it up into half rap and half rock and all the songs even thou remixed sound completely different and most of them have new lyrics, these r not just lazy remixes they are all new songs. one of my favortie sons on the cd if not my favorite mixes alota of element such as rap, house, metal, and a lil bit of screamo, check it out and i promise to keep the blog updated more

so i kno i promised a linkin park week and ive been a lil lazy so i will do them justice another week sum where in the future. any way check this out both lead singes for linkin park have side projects. mike shinoda aka fort minor put out a cd THE RISING TIED and had big features from the likes of common, john leganed, black thought, and SOB. Chester bennington also has a side project that was kown as snow white tan but changed the name to dead by sun rise and hasnt yet released a cd. but with that said i say fuck it and lets put em head to head more or less to show u what they sound like. bith of these songs are commentary on the music industry.

REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

YO YO YO summer is right around the corner and that means its movie season. so far we got X MEN, STAR TREK, ANGELS AND DEMONS, and TERMINATOR. so far out of those four terminator was my favorite but i recommend seeing all of them. so its been a good way to jump into summer and we still have at least two more big ones coming out G I JOE and the movie im most hyped for this year TRANSFORMERS 2. i just seen the new trailer for transformers and WOW its fuckin amazing. also my favorite band Linkin park is doing the lead song and i heard they were put in charge of the sound track so it should be full of good shit. this has also inspired me to do a linkin park week on the blog. so for now check out the trailer and enjoy. HE'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!! SH-SH-SH-SHADY!!!!!!!!!!!!! EMINEM IS BACK my favorite music artist ever!!!!! after four long years since his last solo he returned earlier this week to drop his long awaited 5th cd. of course im going to be bias cuz he is my favorite but its defiantly worth a listen from beginning to end so u all can come up with your own thoughts. all i can say is this is his darkest cd ever! almost all the songs are Slim Shady. it has every thing u expect from a eminem cd - skits/lryics/dre beats... every thing. and a part two or second cd is promised to us in his last skit on the cd. my favorite song on the cd is beautiful. kinda reminds me of sing for the moment. anyway i realized i rambled a bit but i hope u get the point on this one. go pick up RELAPSE and enjoy. peace!

im not a big fan of radio these days but there are some good stations out there and in Chicago we have/had wnua 95.5 a smooth jazz channel (chicagos only one of its kind as far as i know). it was a great staton with very easy listing music and a very popular morning dj. now 95.5 has fliped into a spanish radio station. aperntly it just sold out and changed formats over night.this marked a sad day in chicago radio put also brings up an issue. how close is a city like chicago coming to speaking both english and spanish and i mean having to know both to surive in the city. as of now i have seen at least 4 commericals in spanish outside of the spsnish channel. hmmm alot of ppl would say no spanish will never over take english in america but most ppl dont realize that america has no offical language and it seems to be embracing spanish more and more everyday. during the nba season i knoticed teams like the mavs and the spurs had jerseys that were in spanish. now im not against the growing numbers of latinos in the states but i wanna kno your thoughts on the matter. peace

This one from one of my top 3 favorite artist. it just dropped Tuesday and i think EVERYONE should check it out. Utada Hikaru's THIS IS THE ONE. its her second American cd. her last one was in 04 and didnt sell well but this one is great. for those of you who dont kno who she is, she has done both songs for kingdom hearts 1 and 2, is japans most successful artist ever(ironical shes American born), and sings in both perfect English and Japanese. what does she sound like??? well to me she sounds like a pop/ r&b artist with her own style. this album is way better than her last one exodus which she worked with timberland on. shes also done songs with foxy brown and ne-yo so its easy to see she fits in on the r&b side easily. this cd not only has 10 new songs but also has the 3 kingdom hearts songs she has done. its a great cd i just cant say it enough so check out the music video and tell me what u think or just go cop it. only thing if i had to say a bad thing abut the cd i would just wish she had a really good slow jam and i would say a 2 songs didnt really catch my ear but they are songs for the ladies but i dont think there bad just not my style. over all great cd gets 9/10 easily

yo whats uppppp its ya mans naga once again givin u guys sumthing interesting to check out. so i love mangas if there done right and im a very picky person when it comes to things i read. so i thought id share what im currently reading. my friend told me recently to check out she thought i would like it so i picked it up and damn its pretty good. dont think im to far in to the series seeing how Ive only finished the first 3 books. all i can say is that GANTZ a violent, sexy, smart story, that's pretty graphic and addictive. from what i hear the series is still going on and is kinda far ahead of me. i also have heard the anime starts off the same and then goes down a different course than the manga

Death Note

whats up internet? its ya soon to be favorite blogger kris and i heard a rumor on the net that there gonna turn my favorite manga into an American movie. The series DEATH NOTE has already been turned into an anime and had 3 Japanese movies but now Hollywood has got their hands on it. some ppl think thats not such a good things because most adaptions of foreign films turn out to be crap or just average at best and alot can be lost from the original. like the ring and dragonball and aeon flux and the grudge and so on and so on. But i watched the Japanese movie version of death note and i didnt like it at all compared to the manga and anime and since then ive been hoping Hollywood would try to redo it but make it good.

In case you guys havent seen the show on adult swim or havent read the manga the basic story is that a boy named Light finds a note book that kills people when their names are written in it. Light decides to use this power as what he precise to be good or right by killing only criminals. of course some people are cool with it but the police arent and they start trying to catch Light. with out giving to much away or making it any more complicated than it is this is the basic story, of course its much much much more than that thou. its a really deep series and its smart, not really filled with cheesy action or dialogue. even thou its in manga form it reads more like a novel. the show also follows the manga very strictly (unlike most do)so either one u check out u should enjoy the same. i suggest picking up the manga over the show thou cuz reading makes u look and feel smarter even thou it might not actually make u smarter.

My new album of the week. I'm really really starting to become a huge Charles Hamilton fan. Especially after hearing his single "Barbara Walters". The dude is too real its crazy. He puts himself out there 4real. But 4 my Album of The Week i'm going with his mixtape, well it may be considered an EP which is called "Well Isn't This Awkward". So this whole thing is a storyline right? This whole CD is like a movie. Charles is a homeless musician trying to get his life together, who has paranormal bond with this girl who lives in a penthouse. Mind you they have never met, touched or ne thing. This week for my album of the week I'm going with the nigga Charles Hamilton's: The Pink Lavalamp. Man, after hearing this I felt like I knew him and I really appreciate this dude as an artist 4real. It just came out a few days ago and it's their third album and its simply great. it has a different feel from their last album, its more personal and has alot of different and unique sounds. this cd is special to me cuz i got it autographed so im pretty hyped about that. of coures its a great cd and it has a ton of good songs. two of my favortis are Hug me and Black wedding. whats up internet? its been awhile how yall been? that's good (or that's to bad lol) any this album has kind a weird reason for getting picked this week. This weeks CD is Gemstone's TESTIMONY OF GEMSTONES. A good mix tape from one of Chicago's best up and coming artist. Gemstones has kinda ben around for awhile and was on both Lupe CD's. on this mix tape Gem shows off his talents of rapping and singing and he does both great. hes positive like Lupe and speaks to alot of people on every level. hes first Cd Troubles of the World seems to be like trying to reach the end of a never ending hallway cuz we keep hearing about it but it for years but have yet to see any sort of releas for it. So untill we get an album out of him we can just listen to the TOG and dream. As of late thou Gem seems to have switched his genre of music to gospel (yea i kno) but he seems to has the same style . So this CD is the last one before the genre switch. hope u guys check it out PEACE...

What's good its ya homie C.J. For my album of the week I had to go with 2pac's Greatest Hits album. I know I'm a day late with this, but I was finishing up some music last night so 4give me world. But I listened to this cd and remembered why Pac was my favorite rapper of all time. When you listen to this man spit its like he becomes your bestfriend. Like I can honestly say that Pac was my bestfriend that I never ever met or came with in 1000 feet of. He really was ahead of his time. The issues and theorys he spoke on then are still current to this day, and will be current 1000 years from now. 2Pac was the best thing to ever happen to music and me as an artist I shouldn't say shit like dat but fuk it. When it's true its true. You feel his pain, his joy, his thoughts, everything. This guy was and is the truth. Everybody must listen to this asap. R.I.P. 2Pac, the greatest rapper of all time. Peace

Kris's album of the week

Yo whats good people? So I'm trying to keep up with the weekly thing which is something I'm finding comes very fast. But none the less I still have an album of the week for you guys. This is one i think is a classic and one of my favorite bands. So with that said I present what i believe to be there 3rd CD My Chemical Romance The Black Parade. its a great powerful CD from the lyrics to the sound. maybe a bit depressing but in an ironic way which some how makes it cheerful and easy to listen to. This CD keeps me sane, it keeps me going, and its one i turn to when i just need to hear some music. Yea its rock and yea there not for everyone but they have a fresh sound and put so much emotion into their lyrics. if i had a top 50 songs at least 6 of these songs would make the list. i guess i cant stress enough just how much i love this CD. i believe the singles off the CD are Teenagers, Welcome to the black parade, Dead, and Famous last words. All worth checking out. Also a GREAT song worth checking out that i believe is on the B side of the single is Kill All Your Friends. so check it out if u get a chance and enjoy. peace

Is T.I. Going Go Get Out Early

What's good world, its your soon to be next favorite artist C.J. I think everybody is aware of the rapper/actor T.I.'s situation with the law. If your unaware and have been living under a rock, he was sentenced to a year and a day for being caught with machine guns and trying to purchase weapons basically. He started his sentence the other day, but everybody has been like "man he going to get out on good behavior, he ain't finna do no time, he too rich". I personally think he is going to serve his assigned sentence. I gained a new level of respect for T.I. over the past couple years (not to say that I didn't respect or like his music before). But I really see his maturity as an artist and a person through his music and his actions and vocabulary. I feel hip hop and music as a whole needs him. But I dunno, this is a good question though. Whats up guys and gals its ya boy Kris and the other day( Monday to be exact) i got to go see one of my favorite bands Meg and Dia. They have been around for a few years now and are about to release there third CD. I would also like to tell you guys that when it comes to music i have a VERY open mind and I am into a lot different things so bare with me on this one. The show was at the House of Blues and security found my damn camera so all i was left with were some damn shitty ass camra phone pics wich i chose not to put up cuz there not that clear. Over all i thought it was a great show for them. There some other bands there too but they were mostly pop rock wich isnt really my thing( Meg and Dia are more alternitive rock) but they wernt bad. It's called newgirlfriendmusic. He really snapped on this. He's one of my new favorite artist. I really fell in love with the beat originally and the lyrics is crazy. He's so brutally honest about his thoughts. I believe everybody should check out his mixtape "The Pink Lavalamp" and "Well Isn't This Awkward". I think people will really appreciate his honesty as an artist if nothing else. Charles Hamilton is much more than a rapper, he's a musician, he plays a number of instruments as well. So peep this right, the album is about this cat named Adam and how his experience with women leads to his death. Just how Eve was the death of Adam in the bible (cool huh?). So as we are in the early stages of setting up our blog page one of the things we want to try to get in the habit of doing is an album of the week (one from both of us). The plan is to highlight a CD that we are really feeling at the time old or new. With that being said here is my album of the week DJ Deckstream's DECKSTREAM SOUNDTRACKS 2. It's a compilation CD with artist such as Mos Def , Nikki Jean, and T Boz from TLC. This CD might be hard to find because he is a Japanese DJ but trust me this dude has beats for days( alot of people might know him from the Lupe song can you let me know wich was on Deckstreams frist CD) and is defenitaly worth checking out. We are soon to be the next great artist in the Hip Hop game. I go by the name of C.J. I'm a artist from the southside/eastside of Chicago. I've been rapping since the 3rd grade and I haven't slowed down yet.
